Free youth soccer drills to learn how to control the ball in the air is a great way to improve soccer skills. Today I'll share a few ideas with you about this topic.

  • Improve The Skill Of Controlling The Ball In The Air
  1. Have your players stand in a circle and you yourself have to stand in center.
  2. Play with them in this soccer drill. Toss the ball to one of the players and have them pass the same to other players or to you only.

You as a coach and the players have to make sure that they have to do so with an objective that the ball should never touch the ground. In no case, they have to use their hands. The soccer players and you just have to use the head knees and feet.

You can have the players (after a few sessions like this) try this in smaller group. For example, they learn how to control and coordinate the ball. It also important because it helps them learn how to kick the ball in a controlling way while the ball is in the air.

Free Soccer Drills: How To Move The Body In A Better Way

Free soccer drills can play a very important role if you want to run an efficient, productive and fun soccer practice session for your players.

When I first started coaching soccer, I was always worried about my players "thinking"... are they having fun in soccer training? Are they having fun? Do they really understand what I want them to do? You got to agree with me, these are important questions.

One off the skills I improved and mastered when I was a soccer player and that I think gave me an "unfair" advantage over my opponents was the ability to "flow" between other players. Here's a fun practice you can teach to improve the way your players move in the soccer field.

  • Teaching Your Players To Use Their Body In A Better Way

How to position the body while moving the ball on the ground getting away with soccer moves to beat the opponents player is an important soccer skill. You can have your players acquire these skills by having them practice a very interesting game.

Well, you have to let your players do this soccer drill without using the ball.

STEP 1: Use t-shirts or practice jerseys to provide each player a tail by inserting the same into their pants from back.

STEP 2: Each player will try to catch other’s tail and they have to save their own.

This method can be very helpful in teaching the players how can they use their body to protect the ball. After a few such sessions without ball, have them do the same game with balls and no tails.

Give these free soccer drills it a try, they will love it!
